Join the race to end greyhound racing
The deaths and injuries suffered by dogs in the name of public entertainment must stop.
No dog should live a miserable existence, become injured or die for sport. But each time the trap is released, dogs are exposed to an inherent risk of death or injury. Away from the track, often there is suffering at every stage of many greyhounds’ lives.
Even one life lost is too many. There are only 10 countries where greyhound racing is still legal. Four of those are UK nations.
We ask the governments of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to commit to banning greyhound racing, phased over five years to ensure the safety and welfare of all dogs within the industry. By winding down racing over a five year period, the industry can work with dog welfare organisations to ensure the safety of all racing greyhounds, and find them loving retirement homes.
